Workshop Description (Limited to 10 students)
Do you have a stockpile of gelli prints, other handmade collage papers, magazine images, old artworks and bits and pieces of ephemera but don’t know what to do with them? Collage allows you to combine disparate materials, text, and imagery into a single, coherent composition that is textural, colorful, and visually appealing. It is an excellent way to incorporate creativity, personal expression, storytelling, and self-exploration into a one of a kind works of art.
This class will focus on how to organize your materials and put them all together into a distinctive mixed media collage. You will explore the many ways to create imagery in your own style while using materials you have been making and accumulating.
