Students will create an impressionistic painting by learning how value, color, shapes, and edges combine to create soft classical works. Learn how to create atmospheric perspectives, soften and eliminate lines, understand how to paint near and far and progress from painting things to painting visual concepts. The class provides extensive one-on-one time with the instructor.
If you want to learn how to paint beautiful soft paintings this is the class to take. All levels are welcome from beginner to experienced. Taught by Award winning painter, Amelie Rogers. Rogers has been painting for more than 60 years. She was one of 100 students juried into “Young Talent in the State of Oklahoma” at the age of 16 and later was one of 77 artists nationally and internationally featured in Best of America and Best of International Oil Painters. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and has taken workshops with prominent artists such as Mark Daly, John Budicin, Kim English, David Leffel, Sherry McGraw and Gregg Kruetz.
